CUCC sent two teams to the recent BUCS Canoe Polo Championships – 28th-30th April. We had a fantastic weekend – with hotly contested games, much improvement in our play and most importantly a fun (and very very colourful) 80’s themed party! Thanks to everyone who drove and refereed throughout the weekend! #Ladies’ report written by Jen McGaley

CU Polo Team at Cardiff 2017
Half the team got up bright and early on the Saturday morning. The other half decided to sleep in and were the last ones to leave the campsite… Once the whole team was assembled at Taf Bargoed lakes, we watched a couple of matches and then got on the water early to warm up ready for our first match. It got off to a shaky start. Helen managed to bin herself before we even got to the pitch. After finally rescuing her, the team were eager to get started and excited to play some polo!
